Studying Pottery: Cerro de Trincheras Archaeology

Living in a sparse desert landscape, how did Trinchereños (Trincheras Tradition peoples) make, exchange and use pottery? This exhibit displays current and historic work on ceramic (pottery) research on the Trincheras Tradition of the Sonoran Desert.  The focus is on regional ties, how Trinchereños relate to other cultures- the Hohokam, Mogollon, Paquimé and Ancestral Puebloans of the US Southwest and Northwest Mexico.
