Description
On August 28, 1963 more than 200,000 people participated in the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in the nation's capital. The John F. Kennedy administration was successfully pressured by the march to introduce a robust federal civil rights bill in Congress. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous "I Have a Dream" to conclude the event.
