Description

Pvt Theodore James Miller (12 February 1925 – 24 March 1944) from Minnesota returns to attack transport USS Arthur Middleton (APA-25) at 14:00 after two days of combat on Engebi, the first of the Eniwetok Atoll to be invaded by American forces. Most defenders were killed. Miller died in a fire-fight at Ebon Atoll a month later.
