Description
This Soviet World War II propaganda poster was created by Aleksey Gumbertovich Sittaro in 1941. The Russian title “За Родину” means “For the Motherland.” The poster uses patriotic language to encourage Soviet citizens and soldiers to defend the Soviet Union after Nazi Germany invaded in 1941. It is useful for showing how Soviet propaganda connected military service, national defense, and emotional loyalty to the homeland during the Eastern Front of World War II.
