Aboriginal History & "The Secret River"
View FullscreenAlthough William Thornhill and his experience as a colonizer in New South Whales is the subject of Kate Grenville's The Secret River, I couldn't help but be fascinated by the relationship between British colonizers and the Aboriginal people. This exhibit is an examination of the history of Aboriginal people, particularly their diminshing rights as England colonized the continent. Various waypoints on the map detail various cultural aspects of the Aboriginal people, and waypoints on the timeline detail various historical moments which altered Aboriginal wellbeing and livelihood.
