Archival Discoveries: Literatures of the World

View Fullscreen

This map and timeline introduce you to texts from around the world and from various time periods, discovered by students in Cultures and Ideas: Literatures of the World, at Santa Clara University.

These texts, selected and researched by students, supplement the five shared texts we studied during Winter 2020: Ibn Tufyal's Hayy Ibn Yaqzan; Kamila Shamsie's Home Fire; Ahmed Saadawi's Frankenstein in Baghdad; and Tommy Orange's There There.

These additional texts supplement our knowledge of and exposure to literatures from around the globe, from before the Common Era up until the present day.

Click on each location to learn more about these texts!

Thanks to Kelci Baughman McDowell from Archives & Special Collections for her help guiding students in this research and exploration.
