While reading Kate Grenville's "The Secret River", many questions came to mind about the nature of the novel itself. I knew that this novel had come from a place of apathy and protest to the narrative that white people peacfully claimed the empty land that is Australia, but I wondered if it really had that effect. Therefore the question I have today is:

Is Kate Grenville's The Secret River helpful or harmful in depicting an accurate narraive of Settler Colonialism in Australia?
