Conclusion and Final Comparison

When comparing the views and significance of education between the two sides of America as a whole, it is clear to see that there is a bigger effort made on the west coast to make Italians feel included and to have an easier time assimilating themselves into American society. It was mentioned that both sides had their own distinct alternatives to traditional public or private education, but both sides still believed it was important. Amongst those who pursued traditional pathways involving higher education, there was difficulty in both the east and west coast, however people including fellow Italian American citizens worked hard in an attempt to make living in America relatively easier and less toxic or hateful. This was shown through school clubs, programs led by other professors, and welcoming common beliefs. Italians objectively had a hard time living in America, but there are people out there who worked to serve their fellow students and citizens and help make their experience more enjoyable.
