"The Consequences" consists of the administration's decisions after both their 1992 and 2001 review of Santa Clara University Greek life. This encompasses: the Vice President of Student Development final decision regarding Greek life after the 1992 review, the Dean of Student's letter to the President of Sigma Phi Epsilon explaining their suspension, press releases on the status of Greek life's relationship with Santa Clara, Father Locatelli's letter to the Student Affairs Committee explaining his final decision regarding Greek life in 2001, and Father Locatelli's initial drafted letters and speeches with corrections.

These documents shed insight on not only why Greek life was kicked off campus, but how, who, and the justifications University administration held back in 2001 in doing so. Contrary to popular belief, there was never a death or single, outrageous event that occurred in 2000 that led to the disaffiliation of Greek life. After reading through the documents included in this exhibit, it becomes evident that the University did not believe Greek life was enhancing student life. Thus, they decided "additional resources proposed for Greek life would be better spent on enhancing the quality of life for all and...on making 'substantive improvements in student social life.'"
