"The Response" includes the administration's response (and massive paper trail) to the issues created by Greek life. This section incorporates: letters written by upset students, a detailed account of the infractions committed by Sigma Phi Epsilon, memorandums, a letter written by the co-founder of Sigma Phi Epsilon to the Fraternity, an apology letter from Sigma Phi Epsilon, Student Affairs University Committee's final recommendations regarding Greek life, letters from the Provost regarding the newly enacted Student Affairs Committee, a fact sheet on Fraternities, and lastly, Fraternity and Sorority historical trends/statistics.

This section represents the immense amount of time and energy the University spent reviewing and reevaluating Greek life's purpose at Santa Clara University. From 1990-2001, Greek life was reviewed by the administration two separate time—leaving these documents behind.
