Bufano's sculptures, such as "Sun-Yat-Sen'', as seen on Omeka, and animal-themed pieces, offer a cultural experience for the community. Statues like “Peace”, also on this page, offer experiences for the world at large as well. The subject of peace was discussed in the article “Missiles of Peace '' by E. Breck Parkman. In it, Parkman mentions that Bufano’s “Missile of Peace '' was made in a time where conflict was occurring more, at the advent of evil that was Hitler and Fascism. His sculpture advocated for an “enforced peace” against Fascism by the democracies of the world.(Parkman, 43) On the front of the Statue, there is an inscription reading,

“Presented to the citizens of San Francisco by the San Francisco Chronicle: Dedicated to the brotherhood of Man and the Ideal of Peace among all peoples of the World.”
