Benny Bufano

For my contribution to this exhibit on Bay Area Italian American artists, I covered Beniamino Bufano. He was a notable sculptor born in San Fele, Italy in 1890 who immigrated to New York in 1910. He later moved to San Francisco in 1915, where he stayed for the rest of his life. He has significantly influenced the Bay Area's cultural landscape with his public art installations. This essay explores the connection between Bufano's works and diversity objectives, examining the cultural experiences they embody and the resulting societal implications.
