Conclusion

Hopefully this exhibit has been a beneficial one for you the reader. I hope that it was clear how the Tu Lam temple is designated a sacred place through the ways it affects its audience's five senses while simultaneously maintaining its intersectional identities as a temple, home, and Vietnamese cultural space. Understanding how the Tu Lam temple's intersectional identity is constructed and reflected by its audience to create a place allows us to recognize how a place does not necessarily have a static primary identity, but possibly important underlying identities that cause supplement or distract from a place's dedicated purpose. By recognizing how a place is constructed and given meaning through recursive relationship with its public, we can understand how certain spaces and places change within public memory as different publics becomes more or less influential with the passing of time.
