Military Science has been a driving factor in almost every facet of life as we have known since the ending of World War II. From the Cold War to the establishment of the Military Industrial Complex, the great loss experienced in the Second World War sparked a drive in the world's powers to establish dominance through innovation. Thanks to the rapid development of the ability to produce larger and more complex machines, innovation played a larger role in this conflict than any before. From naval brigades to fighter planes, countries that were able to produce more at an efficient rate held an unbeatable advantage.
Over 75 million people perished as a result of this conflict, making it one of the deadliest conflicts in the history of man. As historians it is important to note the significance of this event, due to the fact that it began over 80 years ago. The technology of nearly a century prior to today was capable of producing that much carnage, providing just some context of what destruction militaries can do today.The Second World War was, and still is, one of the greatest losses of life ever experienced. That is thanks to the invention and perfection of things like bombs, tanks, and naval brigades. Due to the extreme nature of these inventions, a new level of war has been introduced to the world. With that being said, the powers of the world had recognized the new capabilities of their militaries. From the sea, land, and air, every aspect of the entire world was involved.
