Changes in the Field of Science

The Cold War marked a turning point in the scientific field. The urgency to establish dominance sparked competition between countries which in turn led to vast sceintific development, exemplified by the "Space Race".

The motivation to be the leading country with regard to science and technology also revolutionized how country's respective governments will aid their scientists in hopes to make breakthrough innovations.

Despite the competition, countries still managed to rise above the ongoing battle when they had a mutual goal. Whether it was multiple countries working together to limit the power of a seemingly threatnening country or for a noble cause, changes in scientific collaboration are also exhibited in the duration of the Cold War.
