Conclusions

Post occupation, the Cold War really changed India. The new economic ideas and different leaders from other parts of the world affected how the country as a whole ran. Different political leaders blamed people and took advantage of their new power to unjustly attack the Sikhs in Punjab. Their use of governmental control like the Soviets limited the people in Punjab's power and they were left with little protection from the government. This was against America's ideal forms of democracy and made big impacts for India.
