“According to unofficial estimates of the 146,000 convenience stores and gas stations in the United States, some 50 percent of them are now being run by Indian Americans, a majority of whom are from Gujarat.(theindianpanorama)” Indian Americans have also made an excellent mark in owning convenience stores, which has been vital to the economies of their communities. running 146,000 convenience stores is a mark of service and hard work. Despite Language and Cultural barriers and hard-working conditions, They still managed to build relationships with their customers, contribute to local causes, and become an integral part of the United States retail landscape. The video above highlights why many Indian-Americans take such jobs and emphasizes that some people have lesser opportunities than others. Indians are also said to make up 2.3% of US taxi drivers, making a contribution in this field as well by transporting people to where they need to go.
